(KPL) Deputy Minister of Health Phouthone Meuangpak has urged members of public to remain vigilant and protect themselves by complying with anti covid-19 measures the government has imposed.
“The most important and most effective for protecting ourselves and family is stay at home, avoid attending crowded areas or holding or attending events attended by many people and practice proper coughing and sneezing etiquette and frequently wash hands with soaps or alcohol-based gels,” said Dr Phouthone.
The number of confirmed Covid-19 infection cases in the Lao PDR has reached 6 including three announced on March 26, according to the Covid-19 Taskforce. Among the three new cases, two have caught the virus from the infected tour guide Ms Kongngeun, 36. The other has been infected with the virus from Mr. Jamesbond, a 26-year-old businessman.
The three new cases include a driver, 42, in Laung Prabang, a driver, 52, in Laung Prabang, and a 41-year-old man in Vientiane Capital.
