(KPL) The Laos-Japan Friendship Park has been expected to be opened for public use in coming September, one month before its handover.
The park is located at Thana village, Sayaboury district, Sayaboury province. It is considered as a symbol of cooperation between Laos and Japan.
The park features structures and houses built with Lao and Japanese architectural designs.
The project cost over 27 billion kip with provincial authorities sharing 42% of the construction costs, the rest shared by the Japanese government.
“This project is among activities outlined in the development plan of Xayabury district to turn itself into a green, clean, beautiful city with environmental sustainability,” said Mr. Phetphisay Sounvilay, Head of Xayaboury Provincial Administration Office.
