(KPL) The 2019 edition of Made in Laos Trade Fair was launched at the Lao-ITECC, Vientiane Capital on July 22 drawing more than 170 booths representing domestic companies and entrepreneurs.
The opening ceremony for the weeklong event was officiated by Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith and Minister of Commerce and Industry Khemmany Pholsena.
Put on sales and display at the event include handicrafts, farm produce, and textiles, foods and household utensils according to the Vice President of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chanthachone Vongxay.
“The event will help domestic companies increase their trade exchanges, promotion, and partnership,” said Mrs chanthachone.
Seminars on occupational health and safety, organising trade fairs abroad, and business matching will be also held as sidelines events on July 24, 25, and 26 respectively.
“This trade fair is a good opportunity for local producers to exchange business experiences, skills and innovations, and discuss how to increase efficiency, quality and value creation thus strengthening their competitiveness at domestic and overseas markets,” said Vice President of the Lao Furniture Association Kongmala Phommalay.
