(KPL) Malaysian Foreign Minister Dato’ Saifuddin Abdullah has extended a condolence letter to his Lao counterpart Saleumxay Kommasith over floods in southern Laos.

Among the content of his letter dated Sep 17, 2019 is as below:

“I am saddened by the tragic loss of lives and devastation caused by severe tropical storms and floods in the southern region of the Lao PDR.

During this difficult time, Malaysia stands in solidarity with the Lao PDR and its friendly people. I extend my deepest condolences and sympathies to you and through you, to the bereaved families. I wish fortitude and strength to the victim’s families and a speedy recovery to those affected by the disaster.

I wish to also convey Malaysia’s readiness to contribute to the relief efforts for the victims of this disaster.”
