(KPL) More than 100 craftworks were presented at a closing ceremony of a training on bamboo craftsmanship which took place between Jul 27 and Aug 2 in Vientiane province.
This training was organized at Nabone village, Phonhong district by the Chinese Culture Center in partnership with the Lao Handicraft Association.
The training drew trainees from different provinces, the National University of Laos and local communities.
“This training allows Lao and Chinese bamboo craftsmen to share knowledge and help Lao bamboo craftsmen develop craftsmanship skills so that they can make high quality bamboo products,” said Ms Tin sing, Head of the Chinese Culture Center.
Three bamboo craftsmen from China’s province of Sichuan took part in the training to share knowledge and skills.
The trainees have also learned about how to market bamboo products.
Laos has many handmade bamboo products. These products can help foreigners deeply understand about the life style of local people.
